Know Mi LLC (“We”) is happy to see that you care for your privacy just like we do. On this page we will go over our privacy policy. The app Planttamin is owned and operated by Know Mi LLC.
In this policy, we will explain what personal data we collect, why, for how long and on what legal grounds, and how we secure your privacy to the extent of our abilities. The policy applies to information we collect when you visit our website, planttamin.com, or use our app, Planttamin. It also applies to emails or other communication between us. It doesn’t apply to third parties, so realize that if you follow us on social media such as Instagram or YouTube, they have their own policy on Data Protection that is beyond our reach. Children Under the Age of 18
Our website and app aren’t intended for children under the age of 18. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 18, and if you are under 18, do not use or provide any information on the website or app. If we learn that we have received personal information from a child under 18, we will delete that information.

Community members
The Planttamine community consists of loads of people all around the world joining in to relish in a nourishing lifestyle. When you join our community by signing up for the newsletter, we ask your name, your email address, and we get to see your country. We might receive additional data that you send us voluntarily in a message through email or contact form or on our socials. We strongly advise you not to send personal information to us. We collect your data to welcome you as a Planttamine community member and to send you occasional information on plant-based living. We do so because you asked us to do this when you signed up for the newsletter. You can step out of the community at any time by using the signing off link in our emails.

We love receiving your emails, and most of the time we delete it directly after reading it. Sometimes we keep it for a few months to give us some time to respond or to use any ideas, requests, or recipes to add to the community. We strongly suggest that you do not send us any sensitive information.

Any response that you give on our social media channels will remain posted until you delete it yourself, or the channel decides to archive or delete your messages. When we decide that a response is compromising in any way, we are free to delete that response. For more information, see our Terms of Use.

Users
Those using the Planttamine mobile app (App), are referred to as users. Using the App requires you to make an account. We need to collect your gender to give you a general recommendation of spermidine intake. Your account is related to at least one email address, which we may use to communicate with you directly about important notices, such as updates to this privacy policy. Your email will also be automatically incorporated into our newsletter listings. If you wish to opt out of these newsletters, you can do so by clicking on the unsubscribe button on any of the emails sent.

There are three ways to make an account; by using your Google account, by using your Apple ID, or by using a one-time email link. When you use your Google account, or when you sign in using a one-time email link, we retain your email address. In addition, if you sign in with Google, we will also receive your Google username for personalisation purposes. When you sign up with your Apple ID, you can shield your associated email if you so choose, in which case we receive a proxy email that cannot be traced back to your Apple account. We collect information about your device and IP address for operational purposes like crash reporting. We also track what links you click on to determine what users find interesting and what other information we could provide to improve our community. We use information for operational and research means. Research can include the frequency of logging options being used and to learn more about our user base.

Biometrics
We only collect your gender. We use this information to estimate your spermidine intake. We safely store this information locally on your mobile device and on our servers. We also collect the amount of spermidine a user logs, the day, and which foods were logged. We also record when and if a link is being clicked on. This is to get an idea of how many of our user base are using the logging function and how many are looking into the nutrition research articles we linked to expand their knowledge of spermidine.

Payments and Stripe
When you purchase a gift card or a subscription to the App through our website, payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store any of your payment information on our servers. Stripe handles all payment transactions and any and all parties that they may work with. Stripe's use of your personal information is governed by their own privacy policy, which we recommend you review. We only receive a confirmation from Stripe that the payment was successful, along with limited information necessary to associate the payment with your user account.

Access
Our team members have access to data that we collect. We pass on your information to other parties only when and to the extent that this is necessary for providing you our services. With the third parties that receive personal data, we conclude data processing agreements.
Other third parties
We are also obliged to share customer information with government authorities in the case of suspicious situations. We will not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for profiling.

Your rights
When it comes to your personal data, we respect your rights. You’re entitled to ask us to edit your details, delete them completely, or restrict their usage. Would you like to access your personal details or to receive a copy? Just let us know by email, and we’ll validate your identity. We do want to make sure it’s really you. We may ask for additional information to establish your identity. We also do this when we receive unclear requests. Then we’ll act on your request and let you know what we’ve done.

Mobile App analytics
The App uses an analytics tool to collect usage data that will help us improve the App for you. The analytics are built on top of Google Analytics, and the service collects information such as device type, session duration, in-app purchases, and geography. More on the information that is gathered can be found here. Note that the AdSupport framework is not included in the App, and no Advertising Identifier is collected.
